Nashville-based Word Records has announced it will partner with Every Tribe Entertainment to produce and distribute the original motion-picture soundtrack for End of the Spear. The soundtrack for the film about five missionaries-including Jim Elliot and Nate Saint-who were martyred in Ecuador by the Waodani tribe they evangelized, features the original film score, as well as songs inspired by the film by Christian artists BarlowGirl, Steven Curtis Chapman, Nicole C. Mullen and Mark Schultz. The album is scheduled to release on Jan. 24, to coordinate with the movie's release to U.S. theaters on Jan. 20.
In addition to the official soundtrack, the film is supported by licensed products and the recent release of companion documentary Beyond the Gates of Splendor |
