Casting Crowns sophomore album, LifeSong, has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The album, which was released August 30, debuted in the No. 9 spot on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart, without crossover airplay. Casting Crowns is one of only two Christian artists to break into the top 10 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart in 10 years-the other is Third Day.

RIAA Gold certification marks 500,000 copies sold since the album's release.
