'Vickie Winans Rising Star Tour begins July 28 at the State Theatre in Detroit. Sponsored by Chrysler Financial, the tour is free and aims to educate people about their personal finances and endorse the belief that education leads to personal and spiritual empowerment.

In conjunction with the tour, Chrysler Financial and Winans will be holding a talent search to find new gospel artists. Semifinalists will perform at Winans' show in each city, where one winner will be selected and receive a recording contract with Destiny Joy Records and a two-year lease on a 2006 Chrysler 300C.
