Word Records' singer/songwriter Mark Schultz and his music video, Letters From War, recently captured a first-place honor at the 2003-2004 Department of Defense Visual Information Production Award for the U.S. Army Combat Readiness Center (CRC).

Telling the story of a World War II Soldier in the European theater and his correspondence with his mother, Schultz' video was an integral part of the CRC's Be Safe campaign. The video was honored in the Internal/Public Information category.

Letters from War also garnered two more first-place honors-in the Internal/Public Information category of the 2003-2004 Department of Army Visual Information Production Awards and the Barbara Rosser Award, the Army's top award for a multimedia product for 2003-2004.
