EMI CMG Publishing has acquired Meaux Music Publishing, launched by Eddie DeGarmo in 2000 and administrated by EMI CMG Publishing since April 2002. In addition, the Brentwood, Tenn.-based company has extended DeGarmo's term as president of the company.

"I could not be more pleased that we are extending our relationship with Eddie as president of our publishing unit," said Bill Hearn, president and CEO of EMI Christian Music Group. "Since joining the company three years ago, he has led EMI CMG Publishing to its greatest results ever while simultaneously building Meaux Music into a dynamic catalog of songs and roster of talented writers and producers. The combination of these two great companies under Eddie's continued leadership will ensure even greater accomplishments in the future."

DeGarmo's career in Christian music has included 17 years with the contemporary Christian rock band DeGarmo & Key. He also co-founded ForeFront Records, since purchased by EMI CMG.
