David Tyree, the New York Giants wide receiver who became famous for his miraculous catch in the 2008 Super Bowl, is to write a book with the Strang Book Group.

"I am thrilled about the opportunity to share the story behind the Super Bowl," Tyree said. "It is important to me for people to understand who I am, where I came from, and how God has moved in my life."

Tyree, whose book is scheduled to release Sept. 2, is a six-year NFL veteran and was named one of the 50 most charitable players in the NFL by ESPN. His catch in the closing moments of this year's Super Bowl was called "the greatest play in Super Bowl history" by Stephen Sabol, president of NFL Films.
