Fasting (Charisma House) by pastor Jentezen Franklin will be ranked No. 15 on the New York Times' best-seller list in the Hardcover Advice category for the week of Feb. 24. In the book, Franklin explains the spiritual power of fasting, teaching readers that fasting is more than an annual event but a lifestyle. Released Jan. 2, Fasting is the first New York Times best-seller for Franklin, senior pastor of Free Chapel in Gainesville, Ga., a nondenominational church with 9,000 members.
"This is an excellent book and, based on the topic, we expect it to be a perennial best-seller for years to come," said Tessie DeVore, executive vice president of the Book Group at Strang Communications, which publishes Charisma House titles.
