Moody Publishers has signed Southern Baptist Theological Seminary President R. Albert Mohler Jr. to a two-book contract.

The first book, which will focus on preaching Christ in today's postmodern culture, is set to release this fall, company officials said. The second will release in 2009, and the topic will be announced later this year.

Dave DeWit, Moody Publishers acquisitions editor, said Mohler "joins John MacArthur and others as a cornerstone author in our Church Life & Reference product line." The host of a daily live nationwide program on the Salem Radio Network, Mohler has been called by Time.com the "reigning intellectual of the evangelical movement in the U.S."
