The American Bible Society, as a part of its Elementz of Life outreach to urban youth, has published a new magazine titled 4 The Streets. Issues of violence, drugs, bias and sex are presented in a discussion-oriented format by youth. “4 The Streets encourages kids to converse as they go through crises,” said Liana Roa, manager of Elementz of Life. “Kids from the streets have told us that they want to write and share 'real life' as they've known it and the power of God to help them cope and survive.”
The publication is free and distribution is through ministry partnerships, youth ministries, youth centers, juvenile centers, gangs and gang prevention groups. An online version will be available soon.
