The Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA) announced it has reached an agreement with Bowker to use Pubnet as the new X*net EDI service provider for the Christian products industry. Pubnet is a leading publishing industry e-commerce exchange, allowing more than 3,000 distributors, bookstores and other retailers to place electronic orders (POs), and receive back order acknowledgements (POAs), invoices and advance shipping notices (ASNs) through standardized electronic methods. This electronic supply chain system hopes to streamline the ordering process, claiming to increase efficiency and lower ordering costs.
The transition to Pubnet will begin immediately and is scheduled to be completed by Aug. 31.
