CBA Convention 2004 attendees will have the chance to view a collection of rare early editions of the Bible, as well as translation manuscripts and artifacts related to the translation and printing of the Scriptures. Brought together for the first time, the collection will be featured as the History Bible Walk during the June 26-July 1 trade show in Atlanta. Located in glass cases on level two of building B, the museum-quality display will be open for viewing throughout the entire convention. It also will be open to the public free-of-charge on Sunday afternoon from 2-4 p.m., and to area pastors and church staff members in conjunction with the Retailer & Church Appreciation Breakfast on Thursday morning of the Convention.
In addition to a historic printing press, and ancient to modern Bible translation manuscripts, the collection will feature:
The sponsors-American Bible Society, Baker Book House/Cambridge, Biblesoft, Broadman & Holman, Crossway, Dake Bibles/Armor Books, Historical Reproductions, Kirkbride Bible, Ligonier Ministries, NavPress, Standard, Thomas Nelson, Tyndale House and Zondervan-are also working together to provide Bibles for attendees to pick up free-of-charge from the History Bible Walk exhibit for giving away to people around the city of Atlanta.
