Dan DalleMolle, president and CEO of Enesco Group, died unexpectedly Tuesday from complications following surgery.

DalleMolle served as president and CEO since March 2001, and is credited with leading Enesco's recent turnaround. Under his leadership, Enesco returned to profitability as a result of restructuring, cost controls, productivity gains and revenue stabilization.

"We are deeply saddened by the loss of our respected colleague and friend," said Anne-Lee Verville, chairman of the board.

Tom Bradley, Enesco's chief financial officer, has been named interim chief executive.
