Fiction remains strong in the latest monthly best-seller list from the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA), with three new titles debuting in the top 10. Beverley Lewis' latest Amish novel, The Longing (Bethany House Publishers), is fourth in the ECPA's just-released October Top 50 titles chart, followed by Lori Wick's "Big Sky Dreams" series latest, Jessie (Harvest House Publishers), at no. 7 and Ted Dekker's Sinner (Thomas Nelson) at no. 10. Meanwhile, William P. Young's The Shack (Windblown Media/Hachette Book Group USA) retains the top slot. Rounding out the top 10 are: 2. KJV Standard Lesson Commentary (Standard Publishing); 3. Have a New Kid By Friday by Kevin Leman (Revell/Baker Publishing Group); 5. The Love Dare by Alex and Stephen Kendrick (B&H Publishing Group); 6. The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman (Northfield Publishing/Moody Publishers); 8. Love & Respect by Emmerson Eggerichs (Thomas Nelson); and 9. 90 Minutes in Heaven by Don Piper with Cecil Murphey (Revell/Baker Publishing Group). The leading Bibles this month are: 1. Operation Worship Bible NLT (Tyndale House Publishers); 2. Text Bible-NKJV (Thomas Nelson); 3. Outreach New Testament-ESV (Crossway Books & Bibles); 4. Abundant Life Bible-NT, NLT (Tyndale House Publishers); 5. The Adventure Bible (hardcover) (Zonderkidz/Zondervan); 6. Teen Study Bible-NIV, hardcover (Zondervan); 7. NiRV Adventure Bible for Early Readers, hardcover (Zondervan); 8. Witness Edition Bible-NIV (Zondervan); 9. Gift and Award Bible (KJV) black leatherflex (Thomas Nelson); and 10. Finding God-New Testament, NIV (Zondervan). The ECPA lists are drawn from Christian retail stores across the country, through its PubTrack Christian data system. Book lists are based on trade discounted titles selling in at least 20% of reporting stores. Tracts and booklets are excluded.
