William P. Young's controversial novel The Shack (Windblown Media/Hachette Book Group USA) remains at No. 1 on September's CBA Top 50 best-sellers list. An annual lesson commentary, a sports book and an Amish fiction title help to round out the first 10 spots on the list. The Shack is followed by 2. KJV Standard Lesson Commentary (2008-2009) from Standard Publishing; 3. The Winner's Manual for the Game of Life by Jim Tressel, with Chris Fabry (Tyndale House Publishers); 4. A Sister's Hope by Wanda E. Brunstetter (Barbour Publishing); 5. 90 Minutes in Heaven by Don Piper, with Cecil Murphey (Revell/Baker Publishing Group); 6. The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman (Northfield Publishing/Moody Publishers); 7. Captivating by John & Stasi Eldredge (Thomas Nelson); 8. Walking With God by John Eldredge (Thomas Nelson); 9. The Power of a Praying Wife by Stormie Omartian (Harvest House); and 10. Do Hard Things by Alex & Brett Harris (Multnomah Books).
The Top 50 list is based on actual sales from Christian retail stores in the U.S. through Aug. 2, using CROSS:SCAN as the source for the data collection. For the complete list, click here
