The CBA-led campaign to send 100,000 copies of the special-edition Operation Worship Bible-NLT (Tyndale House Publishers) to American military personnel has reached a new milestone. According to Blaine Smith, associate publisher for Tyndale House, more than 300,000 of the Bibles have been placed in Christian bookstores, with sell-through estimated at 210,000 copies. CBA, Operation Worship, K-LOVE Radio Network and Tyndale House joined forces to provide free copies of the Operation Worship Bible in the New Living Translation to U.S. troops stationed around the world. Launched June 1, the initiative involved Christian retail shoppers buying an Operation Worship Bible for $4.99 and writing a personal message to a member of the military. The goal to sell 100,000 Bibles in 100 days was accomplished in just 40 days, organizers said.
