VeggieTales co-creator Phil Vischer is to unveil plans for a new children's media initiative at the International Christian Retail Show next month. Vischer will be visiting the show to talk about JellyTelly, which he has described at his philvischer.com blog as "the cutest little TV network you've ever seen" that is being developed to help provide what he believes is a much-needed new platform for Christian children's media. JellyTelly will be "a Web-delivered Christian kids 'mini-network'-a place to watch shows, make new friends, play games and learn lessons," Vischer wrote, and "highly educational and highly entertaining."
Co-founder with Mike Nawrocki of Big Idea, Vischer left the company in 2003 when it was sold to Classic Media as part of bankruptcy proceedings. He founded Jellyfish Labs to develop new faith-based children's projects, and continues to write scripts and provide the voices of several VeggieTales' characters on a contractual basis.
