The addition of Charles Colson as a keynote speaker is among the changes to the program for this year's International Christian Retail Show (ICRS) announced by CBA. Sponsored by Zondervan, Colson will address the CBA Presents: It's A New Day! gathering on Wednesday evening, July 16. Colson replaces originally scheduled Atlanta-area pastor Andy Stanley, whose appearance was to have been sponsored by Thomas Nelson Publishers, which has decided not to participate in ICRS. Added to the schedule on Tuesday, July 15, is Action: 90 Minutes to Revolutionize Your DVD Sales Like You Never Thought Possible, sponsored by Provident-Integrity, EMI CMG and Word Distribution. The session will "examine the growth potential in DVD sales, present new research on how profitability is affected by ratings, engage an incredible panel on industry issues like selling faith-based films versus family-friendly films, and incorporate relevant marketing ideas for retailers." CBA has also scheduled an industry-wide prayer meeting for the first day of the show, Sunday, July 13, to enable attendees to "join and be led (by) others in the industry in prayer as we lift up not only this channel and its future, but those on the receiving end of the products."
ICRS is to be held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., July 13-17.
