Thomas Nelson Publishers has signed a multi-year contract with Ingram Digital Group. Under the agreement, thousands of Nelson titles will be made available as digital content as well as for marketing and promotional purposes to help drive the company's print and digital business through trade and specialty sales channels, company officials said. Ingram Digital Group will manage and distribute Nelson's titles through CoreSource, its digital asset management system. The agreement will also support Nelson's green initiative, announced earlier this year, which seeks to utilize digital technologies.
"After an exhaustive review of our options, we concluded that Ingram Digital was most closely aligned to the digital and print needs of Thomas Nelson," said President and CEO Michael Hyatt. "Ingram Digital's platform will improve our internal operations, strengthen the viral marketing campaigns of our retail partners and help us realize our 'long tail' opportunities with print-on-demand and the consumer's growing acceptance of e-books."
