Kregel Publications and Moody Publishers have signed with Revelation Marketing Group to represent the publishing houses in the Christian retail market, effective Jan. 1, officials for both companies said. Revelation Marketing's agreement with the two publishers was prompted by Inspirational Publishers Group's (IPG) surprise announcement in September that it will cease operations, including its One Box service, effective Dec. 31. David Hill, executive director of sales and marketing for Kregel, said "there were some extended benefits with IPG and their innovative One Box approach to sales and distribution." He added that Revelation Marketing gives Kregel "a chance to reestablish direct contact with CBA retailers." "We are pleased that we will be able to reintroduce some of the discount, terms and customer service programs that dealers have asked us to bring back," he said. Moody officials said the company was grateful for the work of IPG for the last two years. "Moody Publishers remains passionately committed to the success of the Christian retailer," Moody Publishers Vice President Greg Thornton said. Revelation Marketing is a sales company of GMG Holdings of Greenville, S.C., which is also the parent company of the Genesis Marketing Group. Revelation Marketing currently represents Howard Books, Authentic Books and BJU Press, company officials said. Another former publisher partner of IPG, Crossway Books & Bibles recently signed with Noble Marketing to represent the publisher in the Christian retail market, effective Jan. 1. The Tulsa, Okla.-based IPG?a subsidiary of GL Services that began serving independent Christian retail stores nationwide in September 2005?was launched to provide a solution to sales representation and distribution issues in the Christian retail marketplace.
