Snow Angel

by Jamie Carie (B&H Publishing Group) won the award for best book in the Fiction & Literature: Religious Fiction category at the National Best Books 2007 Awards, presented last week by USABookNew.com, an online magazine and review Web site for books.

T.D. Jakes' Reposition Yourself (Atria Books/Simon & Schuster) was a finalist in the Self-Help: Motivational category, and Sinner (RiverOak/David C. Cook), by Sharon Carter Rogers, was a finalist in the Fiction & Literature: Mystery/Suspense category.

Carie and Carter-Rogers are both new authors. Since the success of Sinner, Carter-Rogers has signed on for two books with Howard Books, Simon & Schuster's religious division.
