Concordia Publishing House has announced the appointment of Larry Padgett as executive director of marketing and sales, effective immediately.

He has been with Concordia for eight years, serving as director of bookstore operations. In his new position, Padgett will focus on overall strategic marketing for the company, Concordia officials said.

Bruce Kintz, president and CEO of Concordia, said that Padgett "brings a wealth of marketing and book industry experience. He will fine-tune our current marketing functions as well as create a solid plan for the company's future."

Concordia is the publishing arm of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
