Christian Trade Association International (CTAI) has announced Marketsquare Asia 2007, which will be held Sept. 3-5 in Hong Kong and the Korea Christian Rights Fair, set for Seoul Sept. 6-7. The two events offer Western and Asian publishers and booksellers an opportunity to learn, fellowship and conduct business, CTAI officials said. “With the strong, positive reviews from previous conventions and new initiatives for 2007, we expect record involvement,” CTAI President Jim Powell said regarding Marketsquare Asia. Headlining publisher workshops, Mark Kuyper, the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association's president, will speak on Trends in American Christian Publishing. Additionally, Cindy Riggins, of Riggins International Rights Services, and Jim Elwell, of Tyndale House Publishers, will discuss Negotiating International Translation Rights. Both workshops will also feature interactive presentations from Asian publishers. Jack Scott, CTAI's director of training and development, will lead bookstore workshops.
Publishers are also invited to the Korea Christian Rights Fair, designed to build on partnerships between American, Asian and Korean Christian publishers, according Korea Christian Publishers Association President Dea Hyung Choi.
