National market research firm Franchise Business Review (FBR) recently awarded Parable Franchising an honorable mention in its Franchise 50 Franchisee Satisfaction Awards, according to officials with The Parable Group (TPG). “We scored very well in our franchise relationships, considering we've only been around for a little over a year,” said Rod Huff, Parable's vice president of franchising operations. FBR surveyed 65,000 franchisees representing more than 300 franchise systems. Only 107 franchise companies in 16 industry categories were honored, TPG officials said. Parable Franchising scored above 3.5 out of a possible 5 points in five main areas: overall satisfaction, financial opportunity, franchiser relationship, franchise system and training and support. “There were areas to improve, and we want to do better,” Huff said. “We want to keep our franchisees happy.”
San Luis Obispo, Calif.-based Parable was one of only three honorable mentions in the category of specialty retail, with Wild Birds Unlimited garnering top honors. Parable was one of 55 franchises that received honorable mention. Winners received their awards during the International Franchise Association Convention, held Feb. 24-27 in Las Vegas.
