A new Catholic TV network via the Internet has been launched, officials with the Kingdom of God Broadcasting Network (KGBN) said.

According to Indianapolis-based KGBN, it will be called the International Evangelical Catholic Television Network (IECTN), featuring Roman Catholics who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and have received the “baptism in the Holy Spirit.”

“It is our experience that to evangelize, one first needs to be evangelized,” said Sister Sue Jenkins, who heads IECTN. “In order for Catholics to successfully help reach the world for Jesus, we as Catholics first need to be evangelized.”

The “baptism in the Holy Spirit” is regarded as a charismatic experience, in which believers “speak in tongues,” an exuberant prayer language popular among Pentecostals.
