Left Behind Games Inc. (LBG) has hired a consultant to research the feasibility of introducing the “Left Behind: Eternal Forces” computer game to the Asian market, company officials said. Gordon Chiu, who has brought many international brands to the Asia Pacific region, said he believes “the unique platform of nonviolence connects very strongly with ancient Asian philosophies.” “This particular game has educational benefits to Asian families because they will all want their children to learn about the West without having to engage in violence,” he said. “ ... This way of learning has been very popular in Hong Kong and is termed 'edutainment.' ” With the movie The Da Vinci Code doing well in Asia, “Left Behind” “would be very well received,” Chiu added.
The first title from LBG, “Eternal Forces,” is set in post-rapture New York City, where players control the Tribulation Force as they attempt to save New Yorkers from the Global Peacekeepers, controlled by the Antichrist.
