Publishers among 'Best Christian Workplaces' Print Email

Several publishers have been named among the 2007 Best Christian Places to Work according to awards given by the Best Christian Workplaces Institute (BCWI). The list was announced yesterday during the Christian Management Association Conference in Palm Springs, Calif., BCWI said.

Harvest House Publishers and Tyndale House Publishers were winners in the Media and Publishing category, featuring companies with 100-500 employees. Meanwhile, Howard Books and InterVarsity Press were winners in another Media and Publishing category of companies with up to 100 employees. Logos Bible Software was among the winners in the Product and Services category of companies with 50-plus employees.

Other finalists in the Media and Publishing categories were Zondervan, Multnomah Publishers, Group Publishing and Warner Press.

The workplace survey, conducted by BCWI, a research-based organizational and human resources consulting firm based in Mercer Island, Wash., involved more than 11,000 employees in 93 organizations nationwide to identify great workplaces with a Christian mission and/or values.
