Send the Light (STL) Distribution U.S. has announced a One Source supply program for retailers. The program will enable retailers to practice better supply-chain management, which will reduce costs, offer better terms and improve productivity. By combining the product fulfillment services of the STL divisions-including Appalachian, FaithWorks, Authentic Publishing, Publishing Services, Great Value Books and Homeschool Headquarters-the company will serve as the single-source supplier for more than 120,000 Christian products from more than 600 publishers. STL officials said the program offers “one-stop shopping,” in which retailers can place one order with one supplier, receive one shipment and one invoice, and are provided one address for returns. Retailers can also order many types of products from STL, including items from larger publishers at wholesale discounts, products from smaller publishers at publisher discounts, and remainder and overstock products at promotional pricing.
“STL is the only distributor able to offer this benefit to retailers,” said Glenn Bailey, president of STL Distribution U.S. “Other distributors offer less than 10 publishers in one box. That doesn't really help booksellers conduct supply-chain management across the wide range of products that they carry.”
