Joel Miller has been promoted to vice president and publisher for the Business and Culture book group at Thomas Nelson, company officials said. Miller previously served as senior editor and most recently as associate publisher for Nelson Current. Recognized for his successful collaboration with former Secretary of Education William J. Bennett, talk-show host Michael Savage and Fox News Senior Judicial Analyst Andrew Napolitano, Miller recently worked with Bennett and his two-volume history of the United States, America: The Last Best Hope (Nelson Current). Miller is “one of the brightest lights in publishing today,” said Thomas Nelson Senior Vice President and Publisher David Dunham. “His love of books and his keen editorial acumen and insight make him a natural choice as publisher for our Business and Culture publishing group.”
Miller will oversee the Business and Culture category, focusing on acquisitions, author relations and building the category. His group will publish 40-plus titles in the coming fiscal year.
