The Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA) has announced it will release the 2005-2006 Christian Retail Trends Report in its entirety on Nov. 12. The annual report, done in conjunction with analysis firm Simba Information, “shows sales trends for the Christian retailing industry and will serve those actively engaged in selling products within the Christian retail channel,” the organization said in a statement. The report, to be released at ECPA's annual Publishing University in Indian Lakes, Ill., next week, uses P.O.S. data collected from nearly 1,000 Christian retail outlets. It is being sold exclusively to Christian retailers and publishers. An e-seminar also will be held for ECPA members tomorrow at 11 a.m. EST titled “Listening to the Numbers—The Story Behind the 2005-06 Christian Retail Trends Report,” led by Jim Seybert. “Both publishers and retailers find value in the report for comparative and trends analysis within book and Bible categories,” said ECPA Director of Information and Education Michael Covington. “Each year, we see how meaningful data gives them the hindsight necessary for more accurate planning and forecasting for inventory and category management.”
ECPA will release the report in two formats: a print version for $695 and a PDF version for $595. Christian retailers can buy either version for $149.
