Faith-based mobile-phone content options have increased with the launch of three new ventures. Integrity Media has launched MWorship, a mobile-phone service that provides daily devotions and other content from artists and ministries including James Dobson, Max Lucado and Beth Moore. Visitors can sign up for a daily inspirational text message, watch free music videos and download ringtones from Christian artists.

Phoenix-based FaithFone Wireless, a Christian mobile phone company, has launched a ministry-partnering program to distribute and deliver churches personalized mobile content and messaging, through a partnership with Jireh Mobile. Offerings from the service will include daily devotionals, Bible passages, prayer of the day, and life advice content. FaithFone offers ministry partners a personalized mobile content card with music, sermons, branded ringtones and daily devotionals that can be loaded on the members' cell phones.

Also, Christ First Communications has launched “Textaments,” featuring a different Scripture addressing a specific category chosen by the user. “Mobile communications-namely ringtones and text-messaging services-are flooding the market-share, and with everything being offered from horoscopes to psychic advice, love advice to the joke of the day, we felt it necessary to bring something relative and of value and empowerment to God's people,” said William Black, founder and CEO. “We hope to empower believers by tapping into the only true source of God's Promises: His Word,” he said.
