CBA is to unveil a new “initiative for retail growth” at its Advance 2007 winter trade show and conference, in January. The effort will aim to “build the foundation for the future of the Christian retail channel while helping Christian retailers perform better today,” CBA President Bill Anderson said in a message to CBA members earlier this month. No details of the initiative have been disclosed. It will be introduced at the Future of the Industry (FOI) conference, which has been moved to the start of the annual three-in-one program, and will run Jan. 29 and 30 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. The FOI meeting will be followed by the CBA Expo, Jan. 30-Feb. 1, with the Independents Day event that has traditionally started the week closing proceedings Feb. 2.
Other major items on the Advance schedule include results of new research on Christian retail music sales, a presentation on developing stores' gift departments and a special screening of the forthcoming movie Amazing Grace: The William Wilberforce Story |
