One Night With the King

, based on the biblical book of Esther, grossed more than $4.3 million its opening weekend, ranking ninth in movie box-office sales, according to Boxofficemojo.com. Appearing on 909 screens, the film grossed $4,759 per screen.

The film's competition included The Grudge 2, a horror movie that topped the box office, grossing $22 million.

Based on the Bethany House novel Hadassah: One Night With the King by Tommy Tenney and Mark Andrew Olsen, the Gener8Xion Entertainment film was shot entirely on location in the state of Rajasthan, India.

Starring in the motion picture were movie legends Peter O'Toole and Omar Sharif, along with John Rhys-Davies (“Lord of the Rings” trilogy), Luke Goss (Blade II, ZigZag), John Noble (The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King), Tommy 'Tiny' Lister (Next Friday), James Callis (Bridget Jones's Diary, Battlestar Galactica), Jonah Lotan (24, The Jacket) and Hollywood newcomer Tiffany Dupont.
