LifeWay Christian Stores will celebrate two grand openings Sept. 30-Nov. 4 in Birmingham, Ala. Zack Hudson will serve as manager for the new Southeast Birmingham store, while Gabbie Maxner will serve as manager for the relocated South Birmingham store.

Two local pastors opened the first Baptist Book Store in Birmingham in 1927. LifeWay acquired the store in 1935.

The new Southeast Birmingham LifeWay Christian Store officially opened today in the Village at Lee Branch Shopping Center off of U.S. Highway 280. The South Birmingham store is now located in the Riverchase Promenade Shopping Center on Montgomery Highway, across from Riverchase Galleria Mall.

LifeWay also continues to operate a Northeast Birmingham store in Trussville on Gadsden Highway.

With the addition of the new Southeast location, LifeWay now operates nine stores in Alabama, with 131 stores total in 23 states. Store hours for all Birmingham locations are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
