Industry veteran Wayne Zeitner has joined the Tommy Nelson publishing team as director of brand development.

Zeitner has more than 31 years of experience in the Christian children's product business and is best-known for discovering and signing the “VeggieTales” kids series in 1993.

“Wayne brings an enormous amount of expertise and creativity to this new position,” said Senior Vice President and Publisher Dan Lynch. “His professionalism and experience are assets which are certain to help Tommy Nelson reach its goals within the kids' Christian entertainment market.”

Zeitner has performed voices for the Music Machine (Sparrow, 1977), which was the first platinum-selling children's album in the Christian retail market. He also has served as national sales manager for Word Canada and founding director of Everland Entertainment, the children's division of Word Entertainment, developing brands such as Psalty, Jungle Jam, Sandi Patty's The Friendship Company and Carman's Yo Kidz.
