The Foursquare Church announced Foursquare Media, a new publishing imprint, to be launched by the movement's leader, Pastor Jack Hayford.

Foursquare Media will consist of two divisions: a Book Group and a Literature Group. The Book Group has created an international publishing house in partnership with Creation House-an imprint of Strang Communications-which will include marketing and distribution outside the Foursquare organization.

Hayford announced the appointment of Rick Wulfestieg as director of Foursquare Media. Wulfestieg has served the Foursquare movement for 32 years, most recently as director of ForeRunners, a ministry dedicated to caring for licensed Foursquare retired ministers over the age of 65 and their spouses.

Larry Libby will serve as senior editor for the publishing arm. Libby has 30 years of editorial experience with Multnomah Publishing.

In 2006, four books will release internationally on the facets of Christ-centered ministry-incarnating discipleship, being biblically rooted, Holy-Spirit filled and life-forming-as well as media resources, the company said in a statement.

The Book Group also will produce a “Distinctives” series that will capture Foursquare history, vision and values. The target audience will be for cell study groups, church ministry institutes and pastoral-led congregational studies.

In time, writers' conferences will be hosted to encourage ministry leaders in developing writing and publishing skills. Foursquare Media Literature Group will provide a common base of literature and church resources, as well as development and distribution.
