The Munce Group has announced the theme for the regional trade shows it will run in place of the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association's (ECPA) annual TradeShows next year

The marketing group announced at CBA Advance last month that two regional shows are scheduled to be held in January 2007. Modeled after Munce's exclusive Christian Product Expo show, which is held in the fall, they will be open to all retailers, publishers, music companies and gift vendors in the Christian retail industry.

The new events will carry the theme “encourage, equip and engage.” The focus will be to “encourage” attendees through a mixture of activities in a Christ-centered environment, “equip” attendees with training and workshop opportunities and “engage” attendees by actively involving retailers and suppliers in mutual participation on the trade-show floor, the company said in a statement.

The training and worship opportunities will be held primarily by retailers for retailers, and areas of discussion and training will include such topics as expense control, inventory management and community outreach.

“It is critical that retailers and vendors still have an opportunity to meet together in a local setting,” said Munce Group President Bob Munce.
