Canadian Christian greeting-card company Lawson Falle will be sold to Dicksons Gifts, according to a statement from Lawson Falle's parent company, Paramount Cards. Paramount also entered into a long-term alliance to create and manufacture greeting cards for Dicksons. Terms were not disclosed. The deal is effective Dec. 31. In a statement, Paramount Cards said the development will allow it to better focus on its core businesses in the growing value and other sectors of the greeting-card business. Dicksons will focus on the marketing, sales, service and support aspects of the Christian retail marketing segment. “Lawson Falle has enormous growth potential when combined with Dicksons Gifts, which can help leverage its great brands, including Voices of Faith, Inherit the Mirth and others,” said Hamilton Davison, president of Paramount Cards. “We are excited to be involved with (Lawson Falle's) terrific products, talented leadership team and the ongoing support of a large card publisher,” said Jim Potts, CEO of Dicksons Gifts. Rick Tocquigny, president of Lawson Falle, will remain and join Dicksons leadership. Tocquigny said: “Lawson Falle is the second-largest marketer of Christian greeting cards, and Dicksons will enhance our ability to build inventive brands for the social expression industry. “
Lawson Falle's Cambridge, Ontario, office will continue to provide sales and administrative support to all channels on a worldwide basis.
