The soon-to-be-released motion picture End of the Spear took home the grand prize for best dramatic feature by the Heartland Film Festival.

End of the Spear is the true story of five young missionaries who were speared to death by an Ecuadorian tribe in 1956, and the reconciliation and forgiveness that followed.

Every Tribe Entertainment was awarded $50,000 for the film-the company's first theatrical release.

End of the Spear will open nationwide on Jan. 20, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the spearings.
