Zondervan and Talking Panda-a software development company for iPods and PDA devices-plan to release the TNIV Audio Bible for iPod in February 2006. It will be the first audio Bible available in Apple stores, and will also be available in Christian and general market bookstores and other mass retail outlets. The TNIV Audio Bible for iPod will feature the complete TNIV Bible-both audio and text-along with 10 topical two-week reading plans, study notes from the Student Bible and a subject guide. “To be able to carry and access the entire text of the Bible in a device that fits in the palm of your hand will be a great convenience to allow time-starved people to read or listen to the Bible whenever it suits them,” said Mark Hunt, vice president and publisher of new media for Zondervan. Today's New International Version (TNIV) translation was launched earlier this year. Zondervan currently has several Bibles available for download on iTunes.com, including The Listener's Bible: Mark's Gospel, NirV Little Kids' Adventure Audio Bible: Old Testament Vol. I & II, TNIV Audio Bible: New Testament and The Book of God: The Bible as Novel by Walter Wangerin Jr.
