ECPA's E-Seminar to focus on copyright issues |

The Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA) is hosting an online seminar on Nov. 30 for publishing houses titled Issues, Advancements and Answers on Copyright Law. ECPA's E-Seminar will address copyright to digital media, authors' copyrights, public domain and other issues relating to copyright administration. Brian Flagler, general counsel and vice president of administration at Multnomah Publishers, will conduct the interactive seminar, held from 9 a.m.-11a.m. A question-and-answer session will be included. The cost to participate is $99 for ECPA members and $159 for non-members. Registration deadline is Nov. 15 or when the registration limit is reached. ECPA also has announced information about its Editorial & Content Development track at Publishing University (Pub U), to be held Nov. 6-8 in Bloomingdale, Ill. Topics to be discussed are The Power of Story: Fiction from a Christian Worldview; Acquiring & Editing for the Twenty and Thirty Somethings: What Do You Need to Know?; Editors and the Marketing Department: Playing on the Same Team; and Editor: Life Coach, Literary Critic and Crisis Negotiator. The track adviser is Carolyn McCready, vice president of editorial at Harvest House.
