Bardin & Marsee Publishing will release a Bible it says will withstand water, sand, heat and general outdoor wear. The Outdoor Bible, which resembles the size, format and flexibility of a road or trail map, is due out Sept. 12. The Bible will be in the New American Standard Bible translation of the New Testament scriptures.

“My partner and I love being outside in the rain, snow and sand, but none of our Bibles could stand up to the abuse of the elements like we wanted,” said co-developer Bobby Bardin. “So we created a lightweight, durable, compact, and waterproof version of this tremendously inspirational book. The Outdoor Bible is a perfect all-weather companion for missionaries, campers, boaters, hunters, sports teams, the military and any other outdoor enthusiasts.”

The Bible, which will retail for $34.95, is printed on 100% plastic material, which makes it fully waterproof. It will only be available through the publisher at www.TheOutdoorBible.com
