Val Buick has been named the new senior vice president of Inspirio, Zondervan's gift division. Buick will replace Caroline Blauwkamp, who is retiring this month after a 40-year career with Zondervan. Buick, former senior director of publishing services for Inspirio, will be responsible for providing vision and leadership to the Inspirio team by setting the overall strategy and direction to build and support the Inspirio brand. “In her time at Zondervan, Val has demonstrated the type of passion for and expertise in the gift category that makes her an excellent fit for this position,” said Doug Lockhart, president of Zondervan. “I am confident that with Val at the helm, Inspirio will continue its impressive track record of growth while continuing to produce gifts that inspire, nurture and reflect the beauty and truth of God's Word.”
Buick joined Zondervan in 2002 as national account director for sales. She moved to senior director of product development and design for Inspirio until her more recent position. She also spent five years as a gift buyer for Family Christian Stores.
