Parable will host a two-day financial boot camp in Chicago on Sept. 22-23 for stores to increase productivity and profitability through a practical approach to understanding and using financial statements. The training seminar is paid for by Parable and is open to all Parable member and franchise stores. The goal of the training session is to coach retailers on tried-and-true financial techniques and strategies to help their local businesses grow. “This boot camp is about equipping our store owners and managers to know and understand the essentials of financial reporting,” said Steve Adams, Parable's franchise operations director. “These are not the days for us as independent retailers to fly by the seat of our pants with blind confidence that our finances will work out. Those days are over, period.” Leading the Parable Financial Boot Camp is Steve Abercrombie, president of Business Resource Services, based in Seattle.
Parable plans to offer a similar financial boot camp seminar in Atlanta next spring. Parable also provides ongoing business development training to its stores through the online TAP (Training At Parable) program.
