AUDIO PUBLISHERS ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES FINALISTS FOR AUDIES Print Email

Christian publishers are among the finalists for The Audies, awards given by the Audio Publishers Association. The Audies, to be presented June 3 in New York City, is made up of 31 audio publishing categories, two of which are inspirational.

Considered "the Oscars" of the audio publishing industry, the event will honor excellence in audio publishing, including Audiobook of the Year. The Audies is the only awards program in the United States entirely devoted to recognizing distinction in audiobooks and spoken word entertainment.

In the Inspirational/Spiritual category, finalists are: The Faith of George W. Bush, Stephen Mansfield, Brilliance Audio; NIrV The Little Kids' Adventure Bible, Zondervan; The Essential Word on the Street, Rob Lacey, Zondervan; The Soul of A Butterfly, Muhammad Ali and Hana Ali, Simon & Schuster Audio; and The World According to Mr. Rogers, Fred Rogers, Simon & Schuster Audio.

Finalists in the Inspirational/Faith-based fiction category are: A Delirious Summer, Ray Blackston, Oasis Audio; Soul Tracker, Bill Myers, Zondervan; The Last Battle, C.S. Lewis, HarperCollins Publishers; The Negotiator, Dee Henderson, Recorded Books, LLC; and The Yada Yada Prayer Group Gets Down, Neta Jackson, Oasis Audio.
