WEB-BASED INVENTORY SYSTEM FINALLY TO RELEASE IN MARCH Print Email

A business-services venture designed to increase retailers' back-room efficiencies and revitalize their supply-chain process will launch March 28.

Initially called Unison, the name recently was changed to Triunison because of trademark complications. The venture was founded by Randy Voorhees, president of Bookstore Manager; Tom Torbett, president of Appalachian Distributors; and Steve Potratz, president of the Parable Group. The three announced the initiative last summer at CBA International.

Heading Triunison will be Melissa Lundie, former business intelligence manager with Parable. As general manager, Lundie will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Triunison, as well as the business and services development.

"The initial response that we have been getting from stores that have taken a look at the beta version has been very strong," said Tim Blair, executive vice president of the Parable Group.

A story will run in the March 21 issue of Christian Retailing.
