Tessie DeVore, director of Strang Communications International Group and publisher of Casa Creación, has been appointed as vice president of the International Group by Stephen Strang, president and CEO of Strang Communications. The announcement follows a year of accomplishments for the International Group, including growth of 38%.

As head of Strang's International Group, DeVore oversees export sales and foreign licensing of Strang products in all languages, which saw huge growth in 2004. In 2002, PR Newswire named her one of the Top 100 Hispanic Journalists and Media Personalities in the United States. DeVore also is president of the Spanish Evangelical Products Association (SEPA).

"It's exciting to see how Tessie has grown and developed in the 12 years she has been a part of Strang Communications," Strang said. "She's an excellent role model for others who work hard, excel and are promoted. We are extremely proud of her and excited about the new opportunities this role provides for both her and for our company.

Under DeVore's leadership, Strang's international publishing arm has obtained rights to publish books this year in Spanish by authors such as Joel Osteen, James Dobson, Joyce Meyer, John Hagee, Stephen Arterburn, Laurie Beth Jones, Michael Tait and Toby Mac.
