FaithWorks, a full-service distributor of Christian products, is temporarily fulfilling all retailer product orders through Spring Arbor and Appalachian. All retailer orders for FaithWorks products received by Spring Arbor and Appalachian will receive an additional 4% discount.

Carpenter said the change was caused by a slowdown in shipping times caused by delays in the installation of a new automation system at the company's warehouse in Blue Ridge Summit, Pa. The additional discounts will be available through the end of the year and may be extended if the software changes have not been completed.

"Ironically, the warehouse, which was supposed to improve shipping performance, has slowed down shipping times as the new fulfillment system has not properly integrated with FaithWorks' existing inventory system," he said. "The software upgrade can be completed but not while FaithWorks is receiving thousands of orders a day. So, by offloading (about 1,950) retailer orders, FaithWorks will be able to make the final programming changes to fully implement the warehouse automation.''

Only orders from wholesalers and direct to distribution center orders will be filled at the Pennsylvania warehouse.
