CJeffreyWhite-UMI-ceo-webUrban Ministries Inc. (UMI), the world's largest Christian media and publishing company serving African-American churches of all denominations, announced Tuesday an exclusive partnership with Living Single in Faith LLC (LSIF).

UMI recently served as the official corporate sponsor for LSIF’s 2015 Urban Singles Weekend Retreat, which was held Sept. 25-27 at the Millennium Maxwell House Hotel in Nashville. In addition to sponsoring the conference, UMI provided attendees with copies of UrbanFaith magazine, as well as the publisher's couples curriculum, For Christian Lovers Only.

Joann Scaife, LSIF director and founder, commented on the new arrangement.

"It is with great gratitude and excitement that we celebrate our exclusive partnership with Urban Ministries," Scaife said. "We look forward to a long-term venture and global impact as we move forward."

"Urban Ministries is one of the premiere Christian publishing companies, with a strong professional and scriptural foundation for the church and for the world," Scaife continued. "Their outstanding products and audience reach will greatly further our mission for singles of faith as well as for those who are searching to know God. Urban Ministries understands the needs of this market, and it is by God's grace that we have been connected."

C. Jeffrey White, CEO of UMI, said this partnership would benefit both companies.

"Urban Ministries Inc. is pleased to announce a new partnership with Living Single in Faith," White said. "Supporting singles, the singles ministry initiatives of this organization and those of churches around the country is a critical part of the service that UrbanFaith provides to empower, equip and enable these individuals to thrive and grow in kingdom witness and purpose. This exciting partnership with one of the premier singles ministries in the nation will bring new resources to the singles community and strengthen relationships and ministries around the country."

LSIF was founded in April 2009 with the sole purpose of helping singles to embrace their God-given purpose of making a difference in the world. The organization seeks to reach out to singles of faith as well as those who are searching to know God.

"For the last seven years, we have been very intentional about reaching singles nationally through Living Single in Faith," Scaife said. "We realize that this market is unique and deserves attention. There are 105 million singles in the United States alone, according to the 2013 U.S. Census Bureau, and that encourages me. To paraphrase Jesus, the fields are ready for harvest."
