MercyMeWelcomeToTheNew-webMercyMe released new album Welcome to the New (Fair Trade Services/Provident Distribution) ahead of a flurry of media and tour stops. Prior to appearing April 22 on the TODAY Show with a performance of the album’s first single, “Shake,” the GRAMMY-nominated, Dove Award-winning band plans to visit several key markets during street week to promote the new album. The “Shake” music video has been viewed more than 1 million times on various video platforms.

The band plans to greet fans at LifeWay stores at each tour stop, in addition to performing live on area television and radio stations in markets such as Nashville, St. Louis, Atlanta, Dallas and Houston.

MercyMe kicked off the tour April 4 with a performance at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. This week, the band debuted an exclusive live stream and video premiere at Billboard.com. The band also was featured on the cover of the April 1 issue of CCM Magazine and will appear on an upcoming NewReleaseTuesday.com Google Hangout.

Leading up to street day, MercyMe made several stops in Chicago, including performing on WGN’s Morning Show and Moody Broadcasting’s “Chris Fabry Live.”

Additionally, MercyMe has partnered with K-LOVE for a special “24 Hours with MercyMe” promotional event in Chicago. Crews from K-LOVE have joined the band to give fans an inside look as they eat, sleep, volunteer and perform two live concerts on KLOVE.com.
