SandyMuckenfussSandra E. Muckenfuss, former co-owner with her husband, Lou, of Son Shine Christian Bookstore in Moorestown, N.J., died Dec. 29, 2013. She was 69.

Born and raised in Medford, N.J., she was the founder of Mill Creek Organic Farm. She was a member of the Fellowship Alliance Chapel where she was involved in a number of ministries, including Alpha USA.

Sonshine became a CLC Bookcenter in November 2007. The CLC website notes that the store is “the largest and most comprehensive of its type in the entire South New Jersey region.”

Dave Almack, national director and publisher of CLC USA, said she would be "missed by the entire CLC family."

"It is our joy to carry on her legacy in making Christian resources available to the Moorestown and South Jersey community," he added. "Sandy was loved by many people, especially her customers, and we have big shoes to fill."

Robbie Halstead of Kingdom Retail Solutions praised Muckenfuss on Facebook's Christian Retail Help Center page: "Sandy had a passion for Christian retailing and particularly books!”

“Sandy was such a wonderful Christian witness to everyone she encountered,” added Virginia Grant of Ingram, also on Facebook.

She is survived by her husband; sons Kenneth (Nancy Lynn), Richard (Kimberly) and Chad (Sandra Kate); brother Theodore (Linda); and 10 grandchildren.
